It takes place under the initiative and with support of the Center of integration of actors-repatriates and management of repatriates absorption of the Jerusalem municipality. All the festival concerts take place in Jerusalem, in the “Harmony” hall. The majority of the musicians participating in a festival are new repatriates and the musicians who have come back to Israel after a long period of residing in other countries. Also, leading Israeli musicians of the senior generation and young Israeli jazzmen take part in festival program.

 

«Jazz Globus» is an international festival. Musicians who had participated in its concerts came from many countries, including USA, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia. The festival became a major event in Israeli culture and has taken a noticeable place on a jazz map of the world. There are more than 100 Israeli musicians who should take part at eight festival concerts, in forthcoming festival «Jazz Globus - 2010» which will take place from November, 24th till December, 1st, 2010. Also, participation in festival of known jazz musicians from the different countries like Norway, Germany, Russia, Lithuania, Georgia, and USA is expected.

 

To assure a participation in festival of well known musicians and increase an art value and prestige of a festival, «Jazz Globus» is in need of help of the patrons of art who are respecting an honor and dignity of the only Jewish state in the world. The festival motto:

 

«Jazz Globus» is one of many Israeli jazz festivals, but the only one that takes place in Jerusalem every year. We will be grateful to each of the friends of Israel who contribute to existence and development of the festival and will help the musicians of the world to be united under the sky of Jerusalem.
